Yusuke Inoguchi’s two-run single in the bottom of the ninth highlighted a three-run rally as the Power walked off with a 7-6 win over the Snowbirds to open up the 2012 California Winter League season at Palm Springs Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Snowbirds had broken a 4-4 tie with two tallies in the top of the ninth inning. Back- to- back run scoring fielders choices had propelled the Snowbirds to their two run lead, heading to the bottom of the ninth.
The second game, which had been scheduled to played between the Chill and the A’s, was postponed due to heavy winds that caused slight structural damage to the area surrounding Palm Springs Stadium.
