The goal of the California Winter League is to give players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of scouts in hopes of signing with an affiliated or independent ball club.

That dream has already come to fruition here in Palm Springs, California for 26 players who have signed contracts with various teams around the nation.

Of note, infielder Miles Walding who has played his way into a minor-league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
