Toronto Rush 3 – Washington Blue Sox 1

The 1st game of the day on the Auxiliary Field saw the Toronto Rush taking on the Washington Blue Sox. The Rush drew 1st blood in the top of the 3rd inning with 3 runs started off by back to back triples by Jeff Birkofer and Tyler Caserta. Caserta later scored on an error and Seth Neely brought in one more run with a sac fly. Rush Starter Evan wolf was on his game once again with 4 shutout innings while allowing only 3 hits to secure his second win of the CWL season as the Rush defeated the Blue Sox 3-1.

 

Coachella Valley Snowbirds 12 – Oregon Lumberjacks 3

Over on the Auxiliary field 2, Tillman Pugh got things started off for the Lumberjacks with his second home run of the season, but the Coachella Valley Snowbirds used 4-run innings in the 5th and 6th respectively to pull away late as the Birds bullpen combined for 5 innings allowing just one run on no hits. Jamall Kinard led Coachella Valley with 3 runs scored in the 12-3 victory.

 

British Columbia Bombers 5 – Palm Springs Power 3

Box Score

The first game at the main stadium saw the Power coming in undefeated verse the Bombers, who were sitting in 3rd place to start the game. The Power went up 1-0 in the first, but the Bombers scored 5 unanswered runs. In the 6th inning, Palm Spring’s Victor Ferrante hit a 2 run HR to cut the lead to 5-3, but the Bombers held on to win giving the Power their first loss of the season.

 

Midwest Haymakers 4 – Palm Springs Chill 0

Box Score

The final game of the day featured the Midwest Haymakers and the Palm Springs Chill. The Haymakers got out to an early 2-0 lead on two 2-out hits by Brandon Tierney and Gabe Suarez. They would then cruise to a 4-0 win behind stellar pitching from pitchers Mathew Swilley, Caeden Ethington, and Nathanial Roe.

The Canada A’s @ The Palm Springs Power at approximately 12:30 pm – Palm Springs Stadium

Monday’s promotion: Canada Day at Palm Springs stadium. Anyone with a Canadian ID will get in with $2 admission.
